As the Christmas Season approaches and 2014 draws to a close, we would like to take this opportunity to show you what YOU helped us accomplish in 2014.

This year we distributed 700 collars and leads, 150 kennels, and 7 tons of food. We sterilized 404 dogs and 138 cats from the Honeydew Squatter Camp and treated 83 sick or injured animals.

Our TNR program was just as successful. We sterilized 758 feral cats and all were returned to their original “homes” where their care givers were waiting patiently.

To our supporters, you have had a busy year being a champion for Animal Allies. So please take a moment to breathe, pat yourself on the back and let us say thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

On Saturday 13th December, we held our fourth and final vaccination day for the year. Santa Cause for Paws joined us at the Emthonjeni Centre, where Christmas boxes were handed out to all the dogs and cats. Each box contained “two things yum, something warm, something fun, something useful” and being the caring organization it is, an item was included for the staff.

We received:
218 Dog Boxes
54 Puppy Boxes
17 Cat Boxes
3 Kitten Boxes
250kgs of pellets
300 Hooves
70 Jeans dog treats
65 Pet E Fours biscuits
Bag of rawhide treats and
Lots and lots of staff goodies including tea, coffee, chocolates, biscuits, etc.

To everyone at Santa Cause for Paws THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU.

A big thank you also goes to Elaine for volunteering her time to come out and take photos at our vaccination day. So if you’re looking for the ideal gift for a friend or family member why not get them a portrait of their four legged companion, visit Elaine at, . The best news is that we receive a percentage from all our referrals.

We again had a wonderful time at the Christmas parties of the Honeydew crèches, and judging by the photos, so did the children.

Thank you Team Zoetis for competing in the Momentum 94.7 Cycle Challenge and choosing Animal Allies as one of your charities. They raised an amazing R17 000.00 for us.

Thank you Zoetis for all the vaccinations you have donated to Animal Allies, ensuring that the under privileged animals we serve have a chance at enjoying a happy and healthy life. Without your continued support we would not be able to do the work we do.

Thank you Royal Canin for the mounds of food you have donated to Animal Allies throughout the year.  Not only have you have filled many hungry tummies and put a smile on all our faces, but you have also enabled our vaccination days to be the success they are. Ever animal seen to leaves with a full bucket of food.

To Oaklands Veterinary Clinic, Bryanston Veterinary Clinic, Honeydew Animal Clinic and Dr. Bright thank you so much for all your help throughout the year. You have all gone beyond the call of duty. You have given so many animals a new leash on life and you have no idea how much we appreciate it.

To close we would like to wish you and your loved ones a blessed and peaceful Festive Season. Safe Travels and Happy Holidays to all. May 2015 be a cruelty free year, filled with good health, lots of laughs and happiness.

Please remember we will be closed from the 18th December and reopen on the 12th January 2015. Please join us again in 2015 to help many more animals live better lives.
