January 2016 Newsletter

Happy New Year!! 2015 was a great year for the animals, and with your continued support, we are going to make 2016 even better.

We are only a month into the new year and we have already responded to numerous calls for help including; a puppy being admitted with a tibial fracture, a young dog with a fractured pelvis, and an extremely emaciated dog that, besides his medication, is being treated with lots of food and love.

Before we go too far into 2016, we would like to thank Hills and Nestle for their very generous donation of food. A very BIG thank you goes to Viv and all at SAINT’s Charity Shop, who raised a whopping R161 972.00 for Animal Allies last year,  and a BIGGER thank you goes to all our supporters whose donation of clothes, books, jumble and all sorts made this possible.  If you have anything you’d like to contribute please call us and we will gladly collect.

This year World Spay Day falls on the 23rd of February and Animal Allies will again be actively involved. Thank you to the 27 vets who took part last year and  sterilized 129 dogs and 7 cats. Please join us again this year and let’s better those numbers.

Spread the love this Valentine’s Day!! Donate any amount and we will email you a certificate in return. Just send me the proof of payment and the name for the certificate. There’s no better way to spend your money than by donating it to a worthy cause 🙂 🙂

All animals touch our hearts but none so much as Blackie. His owner contacted us when Blackie lost all his hair due to mange. Every Thursday he would be waiting on the street corner to be taken for treatment. Oaklands Veterinary Clinic has been treating him since last year and finally his hair is starting to grow back. We’re sure it won’t be long before Blackie lives up to his name and has a beautiful black coat again.
