December 2015 Newsletter

The festive season is upon us! It is unbelievable how fast the year has flown. Despite starting our year on such a sad note, losing Chris, 2015 still proved to be a very successful year for Animal Allies.

Thanks to you our generous supporters we were able to:
Drive 53281 kms
Handed out eight and a half tons of food
Delivered out 180 kennels
Sterilized 465 dogs & 583 cats (including feral cats)
Treated 62 animals

Considering we only have one person, Elvis, on the road we think these are some pretty impressive stats. And next year with your help we know we will improve on these numbers.

Thank you to Nestle for the tons of food you donated to us throughout the year. Not only did you ensure many more meals for the dogs but made our vaccination days a success too as every dog seen to left with a bucket of food!

To Oaklands Veterinary Clinic, Bryanston Veterinary Clinic, Honeydew Animal Clinic and Northcliff Veterinary Hospital, thank you so much for all your help throughout the year. You have all gone beyond the call of duty. You have given so many animals a new leash on life and you have no idea how much we appreciate it.

Our mission for 2016 is to put a fully equipped mobile clinic on the road. Not only will we be able to help so many more animals we’ll be able to do all the treatments and surgeries on their door steps. This means we’ll be able to expand our services to other provinces. This mobile clinic will further prevent thousands of unwanted puppies and kittens ending up in shelters, being abused and euthanized.

To close we’d like to send our best wishes to you and yours this festive season, and thank you once again for your ongoing support. The change it brings to the lives of the township animals really is nothing short of miraculous and we know we wouldn’t be where we are today without you. We look forward to having you at our side in 2016.

Please remember we are closing today and will reopen on the 11th January.
